![]() ![]() In short, the vehicle was conceived to fit the conditions of the First Indochina War, which were deemed unsuitable for the standard AMX 13 (with its much-longer 75 mm SA 50 gun and non-air-transportable weight). Of additional note, unlike the regular AMX 13 75, this vehicle does NOT have an autoloader - both historically and in-game. While the original vehicle (which was seemingly intended as a premium) was cut from the original update, it seems we will finally be getting this rather unusual-looking light tank in the game at long last. The original version of this vehicle got so far as having a complete visual model + icons, and was even published in a post on the official WoT Facebook page on 31 October 2011: This vehicle may look familiar to some of you - beyond being a historical mashup of the AMX 13’s hull with the FL 11 turret designed for the Panhard EBR (which you can learn more about in Tanks Encyclopedia’s article on the AMX-13 Avec Tourelle FL-11), this vehicle was actually planned to be introduced into the game over 11 years ago(!) as part of the original French tech tree. ![]()
